New ASA Of Ohio will Serve Subcontractors

Construction subcontractors have consolidated their resources in Ohio to leverage their advocay efforts and increase member services. The new American Subcontractors Association of Ohio (ASA-OH) will service subcontractors and suppliers in the state's construction industry beginning January 1, 2008.

ASA of Ohio will assure that subcontractors speak to the government of Ohio with a single voice. Already, ASA-OH is shoring up support in the construction industry and the Ohio Legislature to reform state laws that permit the antiquated practice of retainage on construction projects in the state.

The four former ASA Chapters will continue activities through regional councils based in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Dayton. the regional councils will establish local priorities and implement programs to meet those local needs.
